Sharing the Planet

At the beginning of this unit, the Grade 2s shared what they already know about the Earth, the environmental problems, the Earth's resources, and how we share the planet.

They did a gallery walk and round robin in sharing their ideas. They also showed and explained the connection of human actions to the resources found on Earth.

To understand the central idea clearly, the learners chose the big words: ACTIONS, AFFECT and RESOURCES, defined them as a class, and in groups paraphrased the central idea in a way that is much easier to understand.
