Small Actions can make a BIG Difference

This unit provided ways for students to uncover environmental issues that the whole world is facing. As we went on our unit journey, the learners showed small and simple but meaningful actions.

Here are them in action!

Some girls in the class shared books and excerpts from the books they read.

Pauline shared the information from the book she was reading about animals that are affected by water pollution.

Ella shared about the 3 Rs - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Lingyi found a comic book in Japanese. It talked about pollution and its effects on animals and people.

The class also talked about sorting out the trash. They came up with additional boxes to be used as bins for plastic wrappers and bottles, and a bin for recycled paper. They also fixed our scrap paper basket so the scrap paper will be organised.

They started putting some reminders for members of the class about managing the use of paper, tissue and tape.

Last but not the least, some students start to make better choices. Mizuki chose to buy her reusable water bottle rather than buying drinks in pet bottles every day. Hooray!!!
